A shop fit-out, an office that’s starting to look tired, or a rental that needs turning around between tenants doesn’t need a big production made of it. It needs someone who turns up when they said they would, does it properly, and leaves the place ready to use. You’ll deal with me from the first visit to the last walk round, which generally means a lot fewer phone calls at your end.
Walls, ceilings, feature colours, doors and trim, in whatever brand colours you hand me. Offices and consulting rooms get a durable low sheen that takes a wipe without going patchy where the cleaner has been. And if your fit-out is running in stages, I’ll work in stages too and price them separately so your cashflow isn’t carrying the whole thing at once.
An empty property is the easiest one to paint, so I’ll do the whole place in one run and get it back on the market quickly. Landlords and property managers end up with one price and one number to ring, which is usually the entire point of the exercise.
Large multi-storey contracts, industrial coatings, roof work, and patching up a wall or two. If your job is one of those I’ll tell you straight away at the enquiry, rather than leave you hanging on a quote that was never coming.
We go through the surfaces and colours together, and you tell me your trading hours and the date you need it usable by.

Usually, yes. Tell me when the space has to be usable and I'll plan around it. Shops often suit an early start or a weekend run, and I'd rather fit in with you than have you shut the doors for a day you can't afford to lose.
The same way I price a house. I come and look, then send a fixed written price within 24 hours. No hourly rate, so a slow day is my problem rather than a line on your invoice.
Washable, scrub-resistant products from Dulux, Resene or Aalto, chosen for the wear the room actually gets. A corridor in a busy office and a quiet consulting room don't need the same thing, and whichever I've specified will be named on your quote.
Yes, $1,000,000 of public liability cover, and I'm happy to have that confirmed in writing before I start if your landlord or building manager needs it.
