If you’re a builder, the thing worth knowing is that you deal with me directly. I price the job, I’m across it while it’s running, and the dates I give you are ones I’ve committed to myself rather than ones passed along by an office that has never seen your programme.
Five years of painting across repaints, renovations and new work. A proper three-coat system on every new surface, with no skipping the sealer to claw back a day. Spray finishing on ceilings, doors and trim wherever the programme gives me the room for it. And habits you won’t have to chase me about: masking, dust control, and a site that’s tidy when I leave it each evening.
I’d honestly rather turn a job down than take it and let you down. If I’ve said I’ll be there in a given week, I’ll be there, and if something shifts at my end you’ll hear it from me early rather than the day before. I’m a Team Local Provider and I take new-build and renovation work on alongside my residential repaints, so send the plans through and I’ll price your next one.
Plenty of people project-manage their own extension and just need the painting handled. I can quote that stage on its own, tell you what point I need the site at, and match the new work back into the existing rooms so the join doesn’t announce itself.
Give me the plans and the paint spec, or take me through the build on site. I'll confirm the surfaces, the systems and which stage I need to come in at.
A fixed price for the lot, or split into interior and exterior stages if that suits your draw-downs better.
Sealer, undercoat and two top coats. I work in around the other trades and leave the site clean at the end of each day.
Once the fit-off is done I come back for touch-ups, and we walk it together before it goes to your client.
A proper three-coat system on new surfaces, so sealer or primer and then two top coats, in Dulux, Resene or Aalto depending on what's been specified. If the architect or your client has named a product, that's what goes on, no substitutions to save a few dollars.
Interiors usually after the stopping is done and before the fit-off, then back at the end for touch-ups once everyone else has cleared out. Exteriors depend on the cladding and when the scaffold comes down. Send me the plans or walk me round and I'll tell you exactly which stages I need.
Yes, both. Cladding, fascia, soffits and joinery outside, and gib, ceilings, doors and trim inside. Recent work includes the soffits on a new build and a colour change across the main face of a new house in Brookfield.
Regularly. I did a 65 square metre minor dwelling out at Mount Maunganui inside and out, Shadowclad exterior included. With extensions the trick is matching the new work into the existing house so you can't see where one stops and the other starts, and I'll quote it with that in mind.
